Acoustics - Panels soundproofing capacity FM and FM-H

In cooperation with the University of Padua, Department of Technological Physics, we performed laboratory tests on different types of panels used on the casing of the FM and FM-H series air handling units (panels 50 mm thick).

The certificates give the sound transmission loss R in dB; the values, given in octave band refers to the following panels:

- PZP (prepainted outside, galvanised steel inside, insulation by means of polyurethane with 42 kg/mc density)

- AAP (aluminium outside, aluminium inside, insulation by means of polyurethane with 42 kg/mc density)

- PZL (prepainted outside, galvanised steel inside, insulation by means of rock wool with 40 kg/mc density)

- PZL (prepainted outside, galvanised steel inside, insulation by means of rock wool 100 kg/mc density)

The test results are provided for an acoustical comparison among the different types of panels and in particular the different types of insulating materials (polyurethane or rock wool) and their densities (rock wool with 40 kg/mc or 100 kg/mc densities).

The certificates show the great performances in terms of acoustical insulation given by the rock wool panels.
